Our Client a London based local authority is looking for a dog enforcement team leader to be responsible for the effective management and supervision of the day-to-day functions of the Environmental Health & Trading Standards Dog Enforcement Team including the provision of specialised support to professional officer
You will be in charge of the enforcement of the council’s dog control orders and other legislation regarding dog control. You will apprehend stray dogs and return to them to their owners or transport to designated kennels/veterinary surgeon. You will respond to, and investigate complaints and enquiries about stray, dangerous dogs, noisy dogs within residential premises.
You will have previous enforcement experience and ideally have knowledge of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991. You will have previous management experience
