Performance Analyst
Performance Analysts support strategic performance management across organizations, promoting innovation and excellence. They need to have a good understanding of various public sector performance regimes such as the national performance framework for local government and partnerships, comprehensive area assessment and local area agreement. In addition, they need to possess understanding and experience of the systems, processes and methods through which performance can be managed effectively. They need to have excellent communication skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Main purpose of job:
- To develop and lead on a programme of auditing specific performance indicators and data collection systems.
- To work in partnership with service managers and performance leads in an ongoing programme of audit for performance indicators, baselines and outturn data.
- To work in partnership with service managers, staff and other stakeholders to promote and develop a co-ordinated approach to performance management and data quality.
- To contribute to the development of comprehensive performance management frameworks for any services needing improvement in performance management/monitoring.
Key Duties:
· To develop an annual programme of auditing all the performance indicators and data collection systems.
· To develop methods for audit and the recording of results as well as post-audit action plans and regular reporting of progress.
· To provide scrutiny and analysis of audit results.
· To assist services in assessing data quality and work with them to develop ways to improve the quality of their data.
· To audit data collection systems and work with services to improve processes and achieve efficiencies.
· To assess areas where work can be done by services to significantly improve performance in a particular area.
